Seductive Studs & Sirens

It's Saturday and I'm participating in the Seductive Studs & Sirens mini hop!

The idea is to post just 150 words to capture the imagination. Today, I'm offering another small sampling from my unusual Victorian polyamorous romance written with a touch of reader-interactive art history: Loving Leonardo -The Quest (book 2 in the series)

Setting the stage:
The three lovers are together once more. At this point Nicolas is grieving. Ellie is concerned, and Luca is pensive. What happens next stuns Nicolas.

My snippet:
".........Roll over.”

“What?”

She gave me a little shove. “Go on, roll over.”

I stretched out on my belly. Sandwiched between their warmth, they treated me to loving caresses, both soft and firm. Ellie hummed a sweet lullaby. Soothed and comforted, I drifted off to much-needed sleep.

***
I woke to thunder sometime in the wee hours to find Ellie wrapped in my arms and Luca absent. Figuring he’d simply gone to the commode, I waited. Minutes passed so I determined he went instead to fetch a drink in the kitchen. I eased myself from her side, donned my dressing gown and went to join him. I found a note tucked under the door. Taking it to the hall, I lit the lamp and read:

He’ll not hurt either of you.
I swear it.
Know I’ll love you always,
L

Steel-edged fear for Luca gripped me. I had to find him.

"Rose Anderson writes in a way that makes you unable to put the story down. It's a compelling, unusual story with an unexpected ending."
