Seductive Studs & Sirens!

It's Saturday and I'm participating in the Seductive Studs & Sirens mini hop.

The idea is to post just 150 words to capture the imagination. Today, I'm offering another small sampling from my unusual Victorian polyamorous romance written with a touch of reader-interactive art history: Loving Leonardo (book 1 in the series)

Setting the stage: At this point in the story, Thom learns long-time lover Nicolas is to wed. He comes to say goodbye.

I watched Thom coat his bread with butter. He licked the side of his hand where it had smeared. I was so comfortable with his salt-of-the-earth mannerisms. I’d miss him, I truly would. We’d been together for more than a decade. From our first union, I’d had a regular lover in dear Thomas. Largely, our love life had been exclusive to one another. Of course, like other animals in the wild, the pair of us were opportunistic feeders. Men had their chums, and occasionally some had similar predilections. Yet Mrs. Fletcher’s caution inspired us to take very few lovers to our collective bed. Yes, he had the occasional liaison with the farrier’s son. That relationship had been going on longer, but opportunity was scarce since the family moved to the countryside these eight years past.
By comparison, my own encounters with other lovers were few, transient, and only when abroad.

Here's the story

"Written in a style that evokes literature of the period in which this story is set, Loving Leonardo is an erotic thriller, and an enjoyable adventure of three lusty young people striving to save both themselves and a work of art that is in itself a declaration of love."
