Seductive Studs & Sirens!

It's Saturday and I'm participating in the Seductive Studs & Sirens mini hop!

Participants post just 150 words to capture the imagination. Today, another small sampling from my award-winning Victorian polyamorous romance written with a touch of reader-interactive art history ~ Loving Leonardo (Book 1 in the ongoing series)

Setting the scene: Having newly met Luca aboard ship, Ellie recognizes Nicolas' interest and acts upon it. The best is yet to come.

My snippet:
The object of her fondling now free and at full staff, she immediately returned to her bewitching caress. She stroked slowly and flicked her tongue over my lips before finding my tongue with a taste of sherry upon hers. “Luca and Jerone. I saw them meet at the deck behind the lifeboats. They were kissing. Oh! You like that picture, do you?”

“Very much.” I kicked my shoes and socks aside to step from my trousers. In my haste to feel all of with every inch of my skin, I forgot to attend to my cufflinks. To my great annoyance, I found both hands trapped inside my sleeves. My struggle to be free only made it worse. I looked at Ellie helplessly, and attempted to raise my hands ensnared by the body of the shirt around my back. The devilish gleam in her eye caught my breath.

Seductive Studs & Sirens!

Setting the scene: After passing through the Strait of Gibraltar on rough seas, my lovers are further inspired by Leonardo's book.

My snippet:

I loved her matter-of-fact decisiveness and the way she lived her life without pretense. She wanted me teased, and by god she was going to have it. There was nothing to do but follow. Clothing stripped away among the kisses, I watched my lovers sprawl on the bed side by side and continue what began in the outer room. Seeing open opportunity, I crawled between them. While they busied themselves with hand and lips and dancing tongues, I found other amusements. I nuzzled and tasted, sucked and lapped, just enough to make them want more. Three could play the tease.

Apparently I’d teased enough because Luca said something in husky Italian. Ellie, the budding polyglot replied, “Yes, I think you should.”

Next I knew, he grabbed me. Ellie squealed and scrambled to the top of the bed lest she be caught up in the tangle of arms and legs.

Seductive Studs & Sirens

Setting the scene: On the quest to find Da Vinci masterpieces, the trio study Leonardo's book in-depth.

My snippet:

Though my gaze was drawn time and again to the sfumato on each page, we’d agreed, for the time being, to wait and unravel the mystery one page and one message at a time. My imagination devoured the explicit illustrations on each slowly-turned sheet. Luca’s eyes met mine over a particularly arousing scene. Returning to the script, he translated for us a most beautiful expression of love.

Were I blind, my ears would hear your breath and heartbeat.

Were I deaf as well, my nose would find you by the warm scent of your skin.

Were I deprived of sight and sound and scent, I’d seek your taste.

Were I unable to see and hear and smell and taste, my hands would reach for you.
Were I a husk of a man, my heart would know you.

Ever the minx, Ellie closed the book and set it, and our theories, aside.

Seductive Studs & Sirens

Setting the scene: Aboard ship, Nicolas accepts an invitation. It is a long voyage after all.

My snippet:
Although his invitation had been crystal clear, I was nevertheless surprised when the Dutchman walked up and stood beside me. We talked about sea voyages, Lord Byron, and the feel of a fine Cuban cigar over your tongue. His description was such that I asked him to show me what he meant. He “just happened to have one in his cabin,” he said, “a fine hand-rolled Havana, the same sort that Britain’s own Prince Edward enjoyed.” Primed with innuendo, needless to say, I followed.

The cabin was dimly lit and private from his sister. After he closed the door behind us, he made no move to light the lamp. In a flash he was on his knees before me. It wasn’t a Havana he wanted rolling over his tongue, but then I never thought it was.

Seductive Studs & Sirens

It's Saturday and I'm participating in the Seductive Studs & Sirens mini hop!

The idea is to post just 150 words to capture the imagination. Today, I'm offering another small sampling from my award-winning Victorian polyamorous romance written with an unusual touch of reader-interactive art history: Loving Leonardo - The Quest (book 2 in the series)

Setting the stage: On the hunt for Leonardo da Vinci's clues, the trio head to Paris to the renown Louvre to see what masterpieces there might hold. Their first night on the town, they take in some of the more curious Parisian attractions. Ellie meets a cheeky cobbler marionette.

Apparently finding the prank more humorous than we, Ellie laughed good-naturedly. She raised her own hem, but only enough to show the top-most buttons of her shoes. She told the wooden puppet in softly American-accented Français, “Keep your eyes on the shoes, my wooden shoemaker, or my escorts will see you made into matchsticks.” Needless to say, the gathering crowd laughed heartily.

On this trip, as my last, I found Paris to be filled with absurdities. All around were signs of blatant eroticism and the occasional disconcerting accent of the morbid. Ellie was wide-eyed. Seeing a sign for a salon that promised a revue déshabillée, this daughter of Sappho made a beeline there. Inexplicably, the thought warmed me. Before my new-found sexual identity, I hadn’t given much thought to the female form, though in truth I found women pleasant creatures to look upon. Needless to say Luca was confused.

Seductive Studs & Sirens

Setting the scene: Nicolas thoroughly enjoys Luca's hair braiding prowess. A lot.

My snippet:
Meeting his eye, I silently mouthed, “Come to me.” He gave me an engaging wink over the top of her head. Instead of coming to me, the tease moistened his lips with his tongue and shook his head. Then taking Ellie’s hands, he bid her rise. He enfolded her in his arms, and wound the braid into his large hand. When he kissed her deeply, he also kissed my mind through her. And heaven help me, I felt it keenly.

When he released her, Ellie said, “Oh my.” She turned to me with lovely cheeks painted in that informative blush of hers that declared she wanted loving. Seeing my erection, she cocked a brow at me. I shrugged, pretending I couldn’t imagine why I was hard. Her lips twitched when she cast me a dubious eye. Caught like a canary-eating cat, I tipped my head toward Luca. Her delight was instantaneous.

Seductive Studs & Sirens!

Setting the scene: Captivated by the historian at the dinner table, Nicolas picks up the smaller details of Luca Franco.

My snippet:
Our Italian dinner companion reached for his glass, the action raising his cuff slightly. He had fine strong wrists, a jagged scar run up the side and I briefly wondered what he’d done to have gotten such a wound. Drawn to artistry as I was, bone structure often caught my eye when I looked at people and this wrist drew my attention. Michelangelo’s David came to mind — David with his corded forearms and finely-detailed hands slightly larger than they should be. A hint to the size of the full erection the artist had in mind, were it made of flesh and not flaccid stone. I wondered who had been his model, for like his contemporary and rival da Vinci, he had a male muse among his models. Lost in thoughts of anatomy, I watched Luca raise his glass to his lips and licked my own before I was aware I’d done so.

Seductive Studs & Sirens!

Setting the scene: Ever the observer, Nicolas finds Luca compelling. There's more than a little innuendo going on...

My snippet:
The Professor of Antiquities smiled at her and she returned it in her sparkling blue eyes. I felt the current of attraction pass between them, and by default through me as well. A fleeting image of Édouard-Henri Avril’s erotic sketches came to mind and I pictured myself sandwiched between my wife and this sensually charismatic man. The thought made my balls ache.
Rather than be lost to my own imaginings, I added to the conversation at hand, “From my own field of expertise I would agree with you, Professor Franco. The ideas of other men muddied the waters of da Vinci’s personal immersion in discovery. He concerned himself with what the eye could see, rather than with purely abstract concepts. To him it didn’t necessarily matter what had come before his personal observation. He was a most excellent observer.” My smile was for Luca when I added, “A dreamer, as you say.”

Seductive Studs & Sirens!

Setting the scene: A private moment between the lovers.

My snippet:
For the better part of that hour, Ellie stood near the stove fluffing her wild mane in an attempt to get it dry enough to take a brush to. Knowing these two as I did, I counted the seconds until Luca asked her if she needed assistance. He loved her wild curls as much as I did. Sisal rope or Ellie’s hair, the man could braid.

Ellie handed over the hairbrush. I watched Luca work the boar bristles through the mass. In our moments of passion, he’d occasionally close his eyes and gather the silken mass in his hands and run the bounty over his bare chest or mine. Within moments, he fashioned for her a cinnamon plait as thick as my wrist and tied up the end in the ribbon she’d handed over her shoulder. Ellie didn’t see him raise the braid to his lips. But I did.
